Merry Christmas to all.

With only a few days left to go before Santa flies in - we hope you will all be blessed with lots of love, good will, happiness and of course presents.

The Cycling Cerebellums have been working very hard to make the desired dream of $10,000 for the Commercial Travellers Ward come to life. We have even had our first article printed in the local paper highlighting our cause and what we are about. Now that's really cool. The Cycling Cerebellums are FAMOUS. We hope to have a few more articles published in the New Year too so make sure you all keep your eyes peeled to this Blog and the website - HERE, to know all the good things we are doing and how hard we are all working.

There are also a few big fundraising days coming up next year in and around the place, and as the dates are finalised we will be letting you know all about them too.

We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. May you all receive everything your heart so desires and more. And if your out cycling - please stay safe. And if you get one too many flats - remember - even Santa has issues.

Crazy Hair Day

What a fantastic day was had yesterday by the teachers and students at a local school. The whole day was dedicated to raising funds for the Commercial Travellers Ward at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. And fundraise they did. It was great to see everyone being so involved and so happy to have this day be a stand out.
Teachers were auctioned off to the highest bidder (Students) to have their hair styled and coloured with coloured spray, ribbons, crimpers, straighteners. Great way for the children to really feel included in such a wonderful day and in some way for them to get some of their own back - in a good way of course.
On the day - Cycling Cerebellums cupcakes were sold as were the Cycling Cerebellums T-shirt pictured above as well the awareness bands. And in total, a whopping $1000 was fundraised in a few school hours.
AMAZING
The Cycling Cerebellums would like to thank everyone for their wonderful contribution on the day. It was a great day with an outstanding ending. The Commercial Travellers Ward at the Children's Hospital at Westmead will be so very happy with the donation.

Awareness Bands have touched down.

And to tell you the truth we really couldn't be happier with the quality and the speed at which Reminderband got them to us in. Each are individually sealed and in pristine condition. Just right for them to start being worn by you all. We really wouldn't want anything less.
Each awareness bracelet is embossed with our name "The Cycling Cerebellums" and is in a beautiful apple green colour. Just perfect really as it is a stand out in it's fresh crisp colour and will match perfectly with our cycling kit. A portion from the sale of each awareness band will go towards the Commercial Travellers Ward at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

So if you want yours - they are $3 each. Show your support and wear it with pride. Join the Cycling Cerebellums on a momentous journey to help them help the Commercial Travellers Ward. Trivia/Auction Night

Not sure if there is any other word than WOW. Maybe if looked up in the dictionary, we could come up with more appropriate words like STUPENDOUS, MAGNIFICENT, INCREDIBLE, FANTASTIC. But we think WOW sums it up just about right.

The Cycling Cerebellums have a Trivia/Auction night booked for the 25th Feb 2012. The aim we here you ask? Well, every dollar donated made from the night will go directly to the Commercial Travellers Ward at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

The team is working very hard with the help from the community to make this night a roaring success. And we KNOW it will be a SUCCESS.

If you are interested in this night - make sure you book your table without delay. We would hate for you to miss out on a night of fun and laughter with the sole purpose of raising as much as we can for such a worthy cause. You know you want to be a part of it.

Press here: TRIVIA NIGHT if you want a piece of the fun and to change the lives of some fantastic kiddies and the staff who help look after them. Alternatively if you are unable to make it but would love to donate - please visit our website here: THE CYCLING CEREBELLUMS to donate.

We are grateful for your visit and kind donation. No matter how big or small.

And the journey begins.

They say that from a fleeting thought - great things can happen, and that is exactly what has taken place. From a thought which was discussed during a training ride in the lowlands of Richmond between two friends well over a year ago, has since grown exponentially to include many friends with the soul purpose of raising funds for the Commercial Travellers Ward at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

It is without a doubt the most beautiful thing to watch unfold and grow. And it is a true testimony to the good will of the human spirit.

The journey of The Cycling Cerebellums will see 15 cyclists cycle from Sydney to Melbourne in 7 days. Sound tough? You bet. But really what we will experience in those 7 days pales in comparison to what the children and families of whom we are fundraising for go through on a regular daily basis. All the funds raised will go directly to the ward to make their stay within those walls all the more better. And if we can atleast help out in a tiny way then that is what we shall do.

We have been welcomed with open arms by our community who have already seen many come on board as sponsors to help us reach our goal of $10,000.

Stay tuned to this page and watch it and the journey unfold. Make sure you also visit our website by clicking here : The Cycling Cerebellums.

See you soon.
